Menu Plan Monday

Photobucket

Here is what I am making this week. I tweaked the menu this time...just a little, as last week changed a bit. Again, I am trying new recipes from RecipeZaar this week - on Wednesday and also Friday. I just cannot say enough good things about this site. It is simply wonderful for an amateur cook like me. I usually look for the highest rated meals, as those have already been "tested". I also try to serve a green veggie with most meals, which usually means green beans or broccoli as my kiddos will eat them. Honestly, if I can do this - anyone can. If you are frustrated by lack of skill or knowledge, or even picky eaters like I have, just give it try and take it one recipe at a time. It can be done!

MONDAY: Grilled salmon with lemon/garlic/evoo on a bed of rice, served with fresh green beans
TUESDAY: Tacos
WEDNESDAY: Crock Pot BBQ Chicken, served with Baked Potato Wedges
THURSDAY: Spaghetti - my kiddos love this
FRIDAY: Turkey meatloaf, served with steamed broccoli and romaine salad

By the way, the Crock Pot Ravioli was a HUGE hit last week. I added meatballs to the mix and it turned out really well. I won't be making the Country Chick/Veggies again. It was really easy, just not as tasty as I had hoped.

HAPPY LABOR DAY! Hope you have a fun, restful and celebratory day with your loved ones!

What time is dinner? Wow...that is a great plan for the week...I love using my crock pot...I just got a new one where you can brown it in the crockpot and then turn it on with all the ingredients! We will see how it works!

Hi. I found you from Shannon @ Bless our Nest & it took me a few minutes to realize that I wasn't on my own blog.
They look alike.
We must have similiar taste - I like you already.

~ Humility ~

Humility is perpetual quietness of heart.
It is to have no trouble.
It is never to be fretted or vexed, irritable or sore,
To wonder at nothing that is done to me,
to feel nothing done against me.
It is to be at rest when nobody praises me,
And when I am blamed or despised;
it is to have a blessed home in myself
where I can go in and shut the door
and kneel to my Father
in secret and be at peace,
as in a deep sea of calmness, when all
around and about is trouble.
