Hope

This morning, I watched the GMA interview with Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Mary Beth (picture from Sparrow Records). SCC has long been a favorite artist of mine and of course, my heart broke for them when they lost daughter Maria in an accident this past spring. If you haven't seen the clip, be sure to check it out. They need your prayers...I honestly cannot fathom the grief they are going through. They spoke of hope many times - and it is only because of our Saviour that we have it.

I am so grateful for my birdies...that they are healthy, happy and mine to hold. I am incredibly blessed!

Hi Ms. Sassy! Thank you for visiting my blog. I am from Abilene, TX. Are you from West Texas also?
I loved seeing a picture of your little birds, I just love little red headed children, I am surprised that none of mine inherited my red hair. –Cheers, Amy

I saw you comment that you are a new blogger and since I am too, I have made it my mission to always visit new blogs....from your post, you are my new favorite blog friend.:) First, I LOVE SCC and my brother is friends with them and I can't even fathom what they are going through...UGH, and second because your next post is about Emily's bby-sitting post - we go to church together (her husband is our youth pastor). 2 for 2 = new found blog friend.:) Welcome to this phenomenon. It's something, isn't it?

~ Humility ~

Humility is perpetual quietness of heart.
It is to have no trouble.
It is never to be fretted or vexed, irritable or sore,
To wonder at nothing that is done to me,
to feel nothing done against me.
It is to be at rest when nobody praises me,
And when I am blamed or despised;
it is to have a blessed home in myself
where I can go in and shut the door
and kneel to my Father
in secret and be at peace,
as in a deep sea of calmness, when all
around and about is trouble.
