Happy New Year!

Praying that each of you have a healthy, prosperous and blessed New Year 2009!

Fireworks for the new Year Eve

Today, I am making fresh black-eyed peas, cornbread, mashed potatoes and steak for our New Year's dinner. And, I might even bake a little, too. Do you make anything special for New Years?

To all of my friends - new and old, near or far....thank you for blessing my life. I am a better person because of you!

I look forward to all that God has in store for the Freeman family in 2009!

The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

I have given you an award over at my blog. There is no meme to it, you don't have to pass it on -- just a post card of sorts.

Happy New Year!

~ Humility ~

Humility is perpetual quietness of heart.
It is to have no trouble.
It is never to be fretted or vexed, irritable or sore,
To wonder at nothing that is done to me,
to feel nothing done against me.
It is to be at rest when nobody praises me,
And when I am blamed or despised;
it is to have a blessed home in myself
where I can go in and shut the door
and kneel to my Father
in secret and be at peace,
as in a deep sea of calmness, when all
around and about is trouble.
