We've Been Boo'd!

It would appear that it is that time again in our neighborhood - time for boos and treats! I have heard this is a yearly tradition and as a newbie to the "hood" I am so excited to be a part of the fun! An anonymous neighbor rang the doorbell and left this at our door last night right before dinner. Hallmark has all the details for those of you who want to possibly start this in your own neighborhood. Isn't it cute? What a great treat that the whole family can enjoy! Now, let's see...just who will our "victim" be? I think we already have someone picked out. It's going to be so much fun!

I don't eat candy, but if I did, caramels are definitely at the top of my list! I love them and so does my family. The kids are so excited to make caramel apples. We are going to make them this weekend!

This is a fun little poem that explains what to do. A paper ghost was also in the container to hang on our front window so that everyone would know that we have already been boo'd. Can't wait to surprise someone else!!

Do you and your neighbors have any fun fall traditions? If so, I would love to hear about them!

Love this idea! I live in the country so it would be pretty hard. Might be fun to do this at a work place.

Love what you got Boo'd with.

Our neighborhood doesn't do this buy my brother's does and they get crazy! They leave little gifts. Last year I think my sis in law got a candle and a pumpkin platter. It is so neat!

What a cute idea! I might have to borrow that one.

I just realized that your background print is the exact same print of fabric I am using to decorate my craft room with. It's beautiful if I do say so myself!

We used to get boo'd in our old neighborhood, too. Perhaps we should start the tradition in our new one!

I love the " Neighborhood Bood" idea. Also, let me know how the movie is. I have been hearing great things too.

~ Humility ~

Humility is perpetual quietness of heart.
It is to have no trouble.
It is never to be fretted or vexed, irritable or sore,
To wonder at nothing that is done to me,
to feel nothing done against me.
It is to be at rest when nobody praises me,
And when I am blamed or despised;
it is to have a blessed home in myself
where I can go in and shut the door
and kneel to my Father
in secret and be at peace,
as in a deep sea of calmness, when all
around and about is trouble.
