to peanut butter!
While in Dallas over the weekend, I made a stop at Sprouts. If you have one of these markets near you, count yourself blessed! It is my absolute favorite place to get produce, fresh meats and cheeses and of course, peanut butter. I have to order it from their warehouse in Arizona and pay high shipping costs. We go through one jar probably every 3 days. I make at least 2 PB&J's daily for my youngest 2 kiddos, and we snack on it, as well. This peanut butter has only 2 ingredients: peanuts and salt (the oil sits on top) and really is the best tasting natural PB I have ever eaten. Yummy!
Care to guess how many jars I bought?
If you guessed 40 - yes, 40 - you would be right! The guy that helped me load all of the jars said he'd never quite seen anything like it before. Next time we go, I will be loading up again. There's absolutely no starving going on at my house!
I also picked up a few new things at Sprouts for us to try.
I love Pacific Natural Foods brand. I bought some of their Organic Creamy Tomato Soup and it was simply delicious! I am not a big tomato soup gal, but this specific kind is so tasty. It's perfect for a ladies lunch. Doesn't this look yummy for fall?
Organic Coconut Oil
I'm going to start adding coconut oil to my protein shakes. I had no idea how beneficial this product was until my friend Faith told me about it. She uses it daily and believes that it healed her of her thyroid condition (she doesn't have to take her medication anymore). Here are some facts about coconut oil. "The health benefits of coconut oil include hair care, skin care, stress relief, maintaining cholesterol levels, weight loss, increased immunity, proper digestion and metabolism, relief from kidney problems, heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, HIV and cancer, dental care, and bone strength. These benefits of coconut oil can be attributed to the presence of lauric acid, capric acid and caprylic acid, and its properties such as antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial, soothing, etc." source
What a great help to the body!

I have never tried natural PB before. Scared I would not like it. I have always had Jif Extra Crunchy. Is the taste really different? I too am a lover of PB. Will be checking out the Coconut Oil for sure. How does your friend use it? I don't drink protein shakes, so I wondered how she incorporated it into her diet.
peanut butter isn't on my list right now, but i do have a love affair with peanut butter also!!! and i will have to check out the coconut oil. thanks for the tip!
That is too funny! :-)
Peanut butter is heaven in a jar! I will have to check out the coconut oil too. I mean, it is from coconuts, so it HAS to be good!

I love stores like that! I always stock up when I get to visit one as well. We don't have any nearby. I've never heard of the Coconut oil...interesting!
Good grief, you really do like Peanut Butter! LOL! Just how long will all that PB last you? ...or did you answer that and I missed it! LOL ~Rhonda :)
After having some form of peanut butter sandwich for nearly every day of my life through age 12, I really have quite an aversion to peanut butter, so I'll skip that. Might have to try the coconut oil, though.
You crack me up, Sandra!
OK...I have to get the coconut oil. Where can I get it around here? About the crows...I got all three of mine at Michaels. They also have the cutest owls. How is the candy corn garland going?
i have actually heard of coconut oil, and it's benefits, but haven't purchased it yet. i heard it was costly. i do have a friend who uses the oil for cooking.
i want you to tell me if you notice the benefits!
and boy, is that a LOT of p.b.!
i think you need to add P.B. cookies to your weekly menu (for he next 5 years!).
I have never seen so much PB!! That is hilarious!
you know...I need to go to that Sprouts one day. Did you go to the HomeGoods store next to it? hmm...never heard of coconut oil..will have to do some research on that. One thing we've been taking for awhile now is flaxseed. I get it at whole foods. tbsp in morning and at night..drink with water...or you could cook it in your food. I prefer it by the spoonful. Helps your skin and other things.
